No Concept but Good Sense Yoichi Nagasawa 1990s orange yellow multi fabric dress

Regular price $560.00

A very striking dress from yoichi nagasawa's delightfully-named label "no concept but good sense". It comprises two starkly different fabrics sewn together at the waist, in a way that sort of resembles a jumper and skirt, but is obviously, by virtue of being sewn together, a dress. The top section is a fitted orange rib knit (made from a substantial blend of acrylic and wool), with the skirt made from a weighty yellow acrylic-poly pile fabric with a vaguely floral pattern. The contrast of colours and textures is obvious, but there's also a contrast of fit: tight at the top (thank you rib knit), gently flared at the base (thank you pile fabric).
